AUSTIN, TX area awesome PIANO LESSONS offered by an active performer, educator, church musician, adjudicator and artistic director. Martha Mortensen Ahern (Ms. Marti), voted TEACHER OF THE YEAR (2021) by Austin District Music Teachers Association, has over 41 years of professional experience and a recognized name due to her performances, national conference presentations, and exceptional students. Ms. Marti is a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and was a piano student of Harold Zabrack and Martin Katz.

She has prepared students to receive superior ratings and gold medals for area events.  Some of her students have also received scholarships as college music majors and performed in Master Classes for Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) Conferences.

Ms. Marti presented a ProSession Master Class for The Grammy Foundation in Austin, TX, June 2006. She has also presented sessions for National, State and Local Chapters of MTNA.
